When you advise a client on streaming income, start from one fact: the headline never lands whole. Take an artist whose single crosses 100,000 streams in a month. That sounds like real money. So what does it actually pay?
Before you reach for a figure, remember the order of operations. The platform takes a slice, then the takes a slice, before a penny reaches the artist. The number that arrives is a fraction of the number that was generated, so reason it down from the gross, never guess at the end.
